Etching

Print the films:
The films will be printed by your local printing shop, the process is called ripping. After a first mutual contact, checking that they can do the job and have Coreldraw installed, just send your file by e-mail including the following instructions:
Film 1, upper side: Print colour separation yellow, negative
Film 2, under side: Print colour separation magenta, negative

Before you send the films, crosscheck that:
* Only CMYK colours has been used, not RGB! Else replace the false colours using the replace macro.
* Check that all connections needed are included, else you might loose a whole subassembly.

From each colour separation a transparent film with black areas comes out. The areas which will remain on the brass sheet are transparent, what will be etched away is black.

Get it etched:
After a visual check of the films, they will be sent to a photo etching company. I use Photo Etch Consultants in UK, they have good service and decent prices. After a couple of weeks you will have your etchings at home - now the building of your model can start!
